Toros lose another game in double overtime

The Austin Toros (15-22) hosted the Texas legends (18-21) at the Cedar Park Center in what would be another thrilling overtime game. Unfortunately for the Toros, the game didn’t end in their favor. Finals score: Legends 138, Toros 136 in double overtime.

Despite going on a 27-8 run and leading as much as 15 points in the second quarter, the Toros could not hold off the Legends as they had seven players score in double figures led by Joe Alexander with 34 points.

In the end, it was Legends’ Justin Dentmon making a lay up in the final seconds of the second overtime to secure the Legends win.  A crushing loss for Austin as these two teams are fighting for the final playoff spot in the D-League.

Toros’ Leo Lyons and Moses Ehambe led the way for Austin with 34 and 37 points respectively while Carldell “Squeaky” Johnson had 10 assists for Austin.

These two teams will face off again tonight at 7:30 PM at the Cedar Park Center as Texas will look to sweep Austin.
